🚀 Cloud Data Engineer & Instructor
Hello! I'm Umair, a Cloud Data Engineer who loves solving real-world data problems and teaching others how to do the same. My expertise spans AWS, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow, SQL, and Python, and I specialize in designing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions that streamline workflows and deliver real results.
As a Data Engineer, I have optimized large-scale ETL pipelines (cutting execution time by 80%), built real-time streaming systems with Kafka, and automated workflows with Airflow. Whether it's data ingestion, transformation, or real-time processing, I focus on systems that are fast, reliable and easy to maintain.
Alongside engineering, I'm the Lead Instructor for Cloud Data Engineering at SMIT, where I design the curriculum and mentor 60+ students, many of them from non-IT backgrounds, through hands-on projects. I also organize hackathons and events like the Founder Talk, because I believe the best way to learn data engineering is by building.
